You sat by yourself in the far corner of the cafeteria at an empty lunch table, absently drumming your fingers against its surface with your chin in your hand, your stomach giving off loud, impatient growls every few seconds. How you wished you had your lunch money with you at that moment and would have been able to buy at least something to keep you from being as hungry as you were now. I grimaced as the blood started to flow down my hands, I could hear it land on the grass, soft thump-thump sounds.

Gritting my teeth I clung onto my scythe, spinning it around over my head.
As it began to change into a long, striped staff I smiled, this was the point where I was at the most power.

"Incendia lumen!" I shouted, pointing the staff at a near-by tree, watching as the air around me buzzed with energy, slowly changing a weird blueish purple taint.
The tree burst into fire, lighting the once-dark forest, but not burning anything else.

"What a pretty little spell" a voice cut through the crackling of the flame.

I spun around; Atlas stood watching me, his green eyes quizzical and amused.

"I should've known you wouldn't have let it beat you"

"Let what?!" I said through my teeth,

He looked down; my heart started beating, pushing the blood into my face as he looked up with a half-smile.

"You should come home." He said, reaching out to rest his hand on my shoulder, I ducked under and spun around, my skirt rising in the breeze as I landed a few feet away from here.

Atlas looked at his out-stretched hand as if it wasn't his body part, just a random hand floating in mid-air, despite myself I laughed.

"What?" He asked, frowning.

"You always have the best facial expressions" I smiled to myself.

He picked up my side from my side and brought it up to his lips "cor unum" he murmured.
